On-a-Slant Village

The On-a-Slant village was once home to the Mandan, a native tribe who aided Lewis and Clark in their journey by letting them stay with them during the winter.

On-A-Slant village was found and mentioned in Clark's journal during the Corps Discovery mission.  It was abandoned and in a state of decay. Today, you can visit the historic site and see how the Mandan used to live.
